Robert G. Whitworth, age 81, of Athens died August 4, 2026
at his home. He was born March 23, 1945 in Morgan County, Alabama and retired
from Solutia.
Mr. Whitworth is survived by his son, Kenneth Wade
Whitworth; daughters, Belinda Suzette Harris, and Pamela Rena Whitworth;
grandchildren, Nathan Pinkerton, Mariah Rodriquez, Kenneth Whitworth, and Alex
Gulley; great-grandchildren, Adrien Goodrich, Michael Goodrich, Layla
Pinkerton, Madison Rodriquez, Colby Pinkerton, Drew Goodrich, Alex Gulley, Jr.,
William Whitworth, and Xela Gulley and great-great-grandchild, Axel Ivey;
sister, Sandra Rose, and brother, Ricky Whitworth.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert A.
Whitworth, Jr. and Hilda Whitworth as well as his grandson, Neil Pinkerton.
Visitation will be private.
Graveside Services will be 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, August 11,
2026 at Roselawn Cemetery in Athens. Pallbearers will be grandsons.
