Joe Thomas Nave, 75 of Athens, died Thursday, August 2, 2018 at his residence.

There will be a 12noon Graveside Service Monday at Limestone Memorial Gardens, visitation is from 9:30 – 11:30am Monday at Spry Funeral Home.

Mr. Nave was born January 10, 1943 in Limestone County and he was retired from Alabama A&M University.

Survivors: Wife: Martha Joan Nave, Daughter: Stefanie (Mark) Little, Son: Joey (Stephanie) Nave, Grandchildren: Kristin (Jimmy) Skinner, Clayton (Miranda) Goodman, Carson Lee Goodman, Alex Little, Luke Little, Ashley (Kawana) Toone and Justin Nave. Great Grandchildren: Olivia Skinner and Anderson Toone, Brother: Larry (Patsy) Naves, Brother-in-Laws: Jack McAllister and Dural Clem, Nieces and Nephews.

Preceded in death by Parents: Edna Louise Naves and Thomas Naves, Sisters: Wanda McAllister and Janice Clem, Brother: Steve Naves.
