Linda Jean Mills Hunt (“ L J”) born January 5, 1950 went to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 27, 2025 with her three daughters at her side.
She was the firstborn child to the late Arthur and Gladys Mills. She attended schools in Mobile, AL; Dothan, AL and graduated in 1969 from Logansport High School in Logansport, Indiana.
Linda enjoyed singing in church, doing karaoke, creating homemade jewelry, thrift store shopping, playing movie/music trivia and meeting new people.
She was preceded in death by her parents; grandson Canaan Maurice Mason; sister, Phyllis Diane Mills Smith; and grandson, Jaren Scott Bannerman.
She is survived by her three daughters; Mendy Mills Bannerman (Scott) of Marianna, FL; Tammy Waddell Green (Randy) of Athens, AL; and Amy Waddell Coker (Jason) of Gainesville, GA.
Grandchildren; Jacob Hillabrand (Janna), Ezekiel Mason, Trinity Curry, and Gage Bannerman. Great-grandchildren; Charlcee Grace Bannerman, Crixus Bannerman, Hartlee Hillabrand, and Haislee Hillabrand. Siblings; Denny Mills, Terry Mills (Gloria), and Nancy Howell (Barry); along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and loved ones.
Spry Funeral Homes of Athens, AL performed cremation. A private memorial will be held with her three daughters at a later date.
