Linda Faye Carter, age 83, of Toney, Alabama died March 1, 2026 at her residence. She was born February 16, 1943 in Shelbyville, Tennessee to Thomas and Eva Thompson. Mrs. Carter was a homemaker and is survived by her husband, James Carl Carter, her daughters, Carla Harris and Jessica Carter, sons, Jamey Carl Carter, James Rex Carter, and Jamey Lee Carter, several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and sisters, Patsy Ann Renfroe and Deborah Kay Wilbourn. Mrs. Carter was preceded in death by her daughter, Rita Denise Davis, two brothers and one sister.
Pallbearers are Dakota Kellum, Kevin Harris, Steven Harris, Jeremy Byrd, Jackson Kellum, and Mederic Jefferson.
Visitation will be from 12:00 to 1:30 Thursday, March 5th at Spry Funeral Home of Athens.
Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, March 5th at Copeland Cemetery.
