James Carl Carter, age 87, of Toney, Alabama died March 5,
2026, in Ardmore, Tennessee. He was born December 5, 1938, to Carl Rich Carter
and Laura Tarpley Carter in Pulaski, Tennessee. He was a member of New Life
Baptist Church and a retired Carpenter and Pastor. He is survived by his sons,
Jamey Carl Carter, James Rex Carter, and Jamey Lee Carter, daughters, Carla
Miranda Harris and Jessica Kayla Carter, a host of grandchildren, great
grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren as well as nieces and nephews.
Mr. Carter was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Carter
and daughter, Rita D. Davis.
Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, April 12th with
Doug Coldwell officiating and interment following at Copeland Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Kevin Harris, Steven Harris, Dakota Kellum, MeDeric
Jefferson, Jackson Kellum, and Jermey Byrd. No visitation planned.
