Don Sherron Killen
The funeral for Don Sherron Killen, 76, of Athens will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Spry Funeral Home Chapel with Don Osborne and Edwin Jenkins officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Mr. Killen died Saturday, May 28, 2011, at Athens Convalescent Center.

He was born Nov. 28, 1934, in Lauderdale County. He was owner and operator of Sharp & Killen and Vee-Go Industries. He was past president of the Athens Chamber of Commerce and a member of the Church of Christ.

Mr. Killen is survived by his wife, Helen Howard Killen of Athens; one son, Thomas Killen and wife Susan of Athens; two daughters, Debbra Ezell and husband Mike of Athens and Donna Killen Hill of Athens; five grandchildren, Alex Killen, Brett Ezell and wife Beth, Keith Ezell and wife Jamie, Serra Hill and Katie Hill; five great-grandchildren, Bailey Ezell, Brooke Ezell, Brenin Ezell, Sydney Ezell and Scott Ezell; two brothers, Milton Killen and wife Ann of Lewisville, Texas, and Billy Killen and wife Martha of Memphis, Tenn.; sister-in-law Lona Killen of Athens; and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, M.S. and Minnie Killen, and brother Jimmy Killen.

Pallbearers will be David Catalfamo, Steve Killen, Brett Ezell, Keith Ezell, Dwight Covington and Mike Ezell. Honorary pallbearers will be Jay Killen and Troy Covington.

Memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.

Burial in the  Roselawn Cemetery, Athens, AL.

Current Pastor Emeritus, Former Pastor for 25 yrs. First Church, Athens, AL , Held several State positions with the
United Pentecostal Church. WW II Navy Veteran. Former Partner & General Manager of Southern Materials,
Huntsville, AL

Preceded in death by wife, Bonnie Craft.
