Mr. Jamie Mark Sampson, 50 of Athens, Alabama passed away Friday, May 11, 2012 at Huntsville Hospital
Memorial service will be Thursday, May 17, 2012, 5 PM at Berea Baptist Church, Athens with Pat Lawrence.
No visitation is planned.
Born: April 19, 1962 in Cleveland, Ohio, died May 11, 2012 at Huntsville Hospital after a long courageous battle with renal cell carcinoma (kidney cancer), which moved to his lungs. Jamie started working at the age of 18 in the tire and rubber industry. He was employed by Nichols Aluminum as a maintenance supervisor until his illness prevented him from working. Jamie's hobbies included, automobile restoration,antiquing, going to flea markets, and attending auctions. He was known to his friends and family as an avid outdoorsman. He was a friend to all , and will be greatly missed.

Wife of 24 years Michelle (Polomsky) Sampson of Athens
Daughters:
Samantha, age 20, and McKenna, age 15
Brothers:
Billie (Debbie) Hatley of Cleveland, Ohio
David (Connie) Hatley of Howard, Ohio.
Sister:
Kelli Sampson of Medina, Ohio
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Doris Sampson
