Herbert (Steve) Stephen Coleman, age 68, of Athens died January 4, 2026 at his residence. He was born September 19, 1957 to Herbert Ralph Coleman and Lovice Margie Webb Coleman in Limestone County. Mr. Coleman was of the Christian Faith, a retired machinist, and an avid deer hunter and die cast car collector. He loved anything vintage. He is survived by his wife, Loretta, his son, Anthony, his brother, Ron (Melanie), sister, Donna (Tommy) Mitchell, as well as several nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Margie Coleman and his nephew, Lucas Mitchell.
There will be a visitation at Spry Funeral Home on Sunday, January 11, 2026 from 12 noon until service time.
Services will begin at 2:00 p.m., January 11th, at Spry funeral home with Keith Pepper and Ron Coleman officiating and interment following at Pleasant Point Cemetery in Athens. Pallbearers will be Matthew Clem, Jacob Motes, Peyton Coleman, Ryan Swaim, Drew Marks, and Adam Coleman. Honorary pallbearer, Michael Springer.
