Elizabeth Joyce Martin, 83 of Athens,
Alabama, died Thursday, May 9, 2019 at her residence.
Services will be 2pm
Saturday at Spry Funeral Home Chapel, with Jeremy Bowling officiating, burial
in Germantown Cemetery, visitation is from 12noon until service Saturday.
Mrs.
Martin was born October 26, 1935 in Limestone County and she was member of
Jennings Chapel Church of Christ. Pallbearers will be: Doug Nunley, Brian
Miller, Anthony Claxton, Donnie Claxton, Benji Wright and Michael Bradford.
Survivors: Sons: David Nunley of Athens, Steve Nunley of Paullina, Iowa and
Joseph Nunley of Brownsboro, Alabama, Daughter: Karen Durkee of Athens,
Brothers: Eural Claxton of Toney, AL and Tommy Claxton of Athens, Sister:
Jeanette Holt of Athens, Ten Grandchildren, several Great Great Grandchildren,
Special family friends: Sandy Bowling, Jeremy and Josh Bowling. Preceded in
death by: Husbands: David Nunley Sr. and Oneal Martin, Son: Mitchell Nunley,
Sister: Mauvolean Gey.

So sorry for your loss. I remember him when he was very young. He was always so funny. I not going to tell you it will get better. All I can say you learn how to move forward. That what I learned when Cindy died. Sending prayers your way.
