Barbara Earlin Carter, age 88, of Athens, Alabama passed
away on Sunday, October 5th, 2025 at Limestone Health and Rehab. Mrs. Carter
was born to Wallace Lovell and Clara Lucille Tennison on August 29, 1937.
Services will be at Spry Funeral Home Chapel in Athens, Alabama at 2:00pm on
Wednesday, October 8, 2025 with Stratton Garner officiating. Internment
following at Limestone Memorial Gardens in Athens. Visitation, Wednesday
October 8th at 12 noon at Spry Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Ricky Downs, Stratton
Garner, Jordan Koonce, Keith Lovell, Jason Conn, and Keith Hinkle. She
was a member of the Market Street Church of Christ. She was preceded in death
by an infant son and her husband, L.F. Carter. Survived by daughter, Donna
Downs (Ricky) of Madison, Alabama, son, Mark Carter (Becky) of Athens, Sister,
Angie Hinkle of Athens, five grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Memorials
to be made to Hospice of North Alabama or St. Judes Hospital.
